In Spore, "epics" are super-sized versions of normal creatures. Epics appear in the creature, tribal, civilisation, and space stages. They are very powerful and can wipe out most creatures in 1 hit. Some people have managed to beat these things in the creature stage. This is very impressive. There are a few ways to kill an epic in creature, tribal, and civilisation stages. One is to attack it and lure it back to your base (nest, village, city) where you can swarm it. Anther way to beat an epic is to trap it and keep using the attack "spit".
